Enviro-cote is an homogenous polyolefin resin coated granular Controlled Release Fertiliser with an NPK cumulus of 18-6-8+2MgO+Te T140. It has been expressly prepared for use with our EnviroCoir STSI Specialist Tree & Shrub Soil Improver horticultural coir product.

Enviro-coteControlled Release Fertiliser releases its nutrients gradually and predictably. In doing so, it provides Tree(s)/Shrub(s) with the vital nutrients they need - when they need them - all season long.
Most controlled release fertilisers depend on the thickness of their resin coatings to control the release period. This results in a wide variation in particle size and a dependence on the physical properties of the granule for consistent release. In addition, it limits the range of release periods available.
The release of nutrients from Enviro-cote, however, is controlled by the amount of a special chemical release agent in the resin coating. This special release agent has resulted in a dramatic technological improvement in consistent and precise nutrient release. In addition, every particle ofEnviro-cote is uniquely homogenous, to ensure consistent analysis with every application.

Enviro-cote : THE KEYS TO CONSISTENT CONTROLLED RELEASE

Temperature:
The nutrient release of Enviro-cote is moderately affected by temperature. As temperatures warm in the spring/Summer and cool in the Autumn/Winter, the release of nutrients will increase or decrease. This keeps the rate of release synchronised with the rate of Tree/Shrub growth.
Soil Moisture:
Soil moisture levels do not significantly affect the nutrient release of
Soil type and pH:
Release is not affected by soil type or soil pH and Enviro-cote does not depend on microbiological decomposition for its action.
Enviro-cote: THE COATING:
Totally new technology has been developed for Enviro-cote’s resin coating process. All granules receive exactly the same thickness of coating. The release rate is controlled by a “releasing agent” which is added to the resin. The level of “releasing agent” affects the porosity of the coating by increasing the size and
number of passages in the coating through which the enclosed nutrients can be released.

Only the highest quality soluble N.P.K. components are used in the production of Enviro-cote . NO CHLORIDE and NO SULPHATE are used as it has been found that these fertilisers cause a harmful increase in salt levels and also affect pH levels.
